✦ This sculpture awarded best in show among a group of slected winners. The award included a two-month artistic residency and a final exhibition at Escola Guignard (UEMG), Belo Horizonte, Brazil.
This work continues my investigation into the shack where I lived as a child, demolished in 2018 in Santa Luzia, Minas Gerais. Here, I bring its floor plan onto the wall and invite people to look through the gaps between brick and cement—echoing how I once spent time observing light, sound and fragments of the world through those openings.
